FERMA and ECIIA respond to new corporate transparency requirements

FERMA and the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) have responded to increased EU requirements for more corporate transparency with a new joint guidance document on the 8th Company Law Directive which was launched at the Seminar.

The new document “Audit and Risk Committees: News from EU Legislation and Best Practices” examines specifically how these committees should support their board and be supported by the two professions: risk managers and internal auditors. Continue reading


FERMA and ECIIA respond to corporate transparency requirements with launch of new guidance document

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) and the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) have responded to increased EU requirements for more corporate transparency with a new joint guidance document on the 8th Company Law Directive launched today at the FERMA Seminar.

Launch of New Guidance on 8th Company Law

FERMA and the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing (ECIIA) will launch a new joint guidance document on the risk management provisions of the EU 8th Company Law Directive at the FERMA Seminar on 20 and 21 October.

There will be a dedicated portion of the Seminar press conference on Monday 20 October where senior representatives of FERMA and ECIIA will present the new guidance, and copies will be distributed to Seminar delegates. There will also be an online version available for download from the FERMA and ECIIA websites. Continue reading

Why survey questions give us a picture of risk management today

Every two years, the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) conducts a benchmarking survey among its members and other risk professionals. The 2012 survey is still open and the results will only be published at our seminar in October, but the questions alone are a good indication of the current trends in risk management and an effort to understand how they will develop over the next two years. Launch announced of most extensive European risk management research

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) tomorrow (17 April) launches its 2012 FERMA Benchmarking Survey, the most extensive research on risk management and risk managers in Europe and their views of the insurance market. This is the sixth FERMA Benchmarking Survey. It has taken place in cooperation with AXA Corporate Solutions and Ernst & Young in alternating years since 2000. In 2012, the partners’ aim is to surpass the record 782 responses in 2010 so that the results are ever more representative of the views of European risk professionals. Each of the 22 FERMA members has a survey coordinator to develop participation from their national association. Continue reading
