European Risk Management Awards 2024 recognise exceptional talent across risk management profession

Radvile Ragozyte, risk manager at Vilnius Silumos tinkle from Lithuania, has been named Risk Manager of the Year at the European Risk Management Awards held by Ferma and Commercial Risk Europe.

She won the award, sponsored by Allianz Commercial, at a ceremony and gala dinner in London.

The awards, with Allianz Commercial as the headline partner, were held at the Leonardo London St Paul’s Hotel.

Ragozyte beat two Risk Manager of the Year finalists from the UK – Robert Chapman, director of Dr Chapman and Associates, and Kevin Steed, head of group insurance at AstraZeneca UK.

There were five award winners in the Excellence in Risk Management categories. Clement Torres, group risk manager at Bel Group in France, won Business Resilience Programme of the Year, sponsored by Belfor.

AstraZeneca’s Steed then picked up Innovative Insurance Programme of the Year, sponsored by Zurich. Rising Star of the Year, sponsored by Allianz Commercial, went to Onur Caglar, lead risk management professional at Turkcell in Turkey.

Gaëtan Lefèvre, former Belrim president, won the Outstanding Contribution to the Risk Management Profession – Association Award, sponsored by Howden.

The Training & Education Programme of the Year winner was Risk Academy: Risk Awareness Week.

The awards also reward excellence and innovation by core service providers. There were six winners in this category.

Broker Innovation of the Year winner was Howden – Mission Impossible: London Market leads insurance coverage for FSO Safer.

Insurance Company Innovation of the Year went to Zurich Insurance Group for its Cyber Risk Quantification.

Claims Innovation of the Year winner was Swiss Re Corporate Solutions for its Excellence in Multinational Claims Management, and Global Programme Innovation of the Year was won by Allianz Commercial for its CT4U: A digital innovation for global insurance.

WTW won Systemic Risk Solution of the Year for its Pioneering Global Ecosystem Resilience Programme. Technology Innovation of the Year winner was RedCompass Labs: The RedFlag Accelerator.
