In one of the most comprehensive studies of its kind, FERMA will include data from other risk associations including RIMS (the Risk & Insurance Management Society), Alarys (Fundación Latinoamericana de Administracion de Riesgos), PARIMA (Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association), IRMSA (the Institute of Risk Management South Africa) and Club Francorisk (the French-speaking risk network).
FERMA has been conducting its European Risk Manager Survey for over 20 years. This new international survey will provide a unique global perspective on critical aspects of the risk management function in the context of a highly complex and rapidly expanding risk environment. Key areas of focus will include corporate risk strategy, ESG, compliance, risk transfer, sustainability, innovation, evolving risks such as climate and generative AI, and horizon scanning.
Commenting on the launch, Xavier Mutzig, Vice President, FERMA and Chair of the Risk Manager Survey 2024, said: “The FERMA Risk Manager Survey represents one of the most extensive studies into the latest developments in the risk management profession. By expanding our scope and making it an international survey, we will be able to provide a more valuable insight into how the profession is evolving globally, pinpoint crucial factors affecting risk managers, compare the latest data on risk priorities, and identify new approaches and strategies.”
Typhaine Beaupérin, CEO, FERMA, added: “The survey provides the perfect platform for risk practitioners to compare their approach with their global peers across key aspects including corporate strategy, emerging risks, ESG, and sustainability. At FERMA, we aim to provide a central place to promote best practice, develop risk insights, drive innovation, and share a global vision for the risk management profession.”
The survey is open to risk managers and will be accessible until the end of March 2024. FERMA will publish the International Risk Manager survey report in September and the findings will be addressed during the FERMA Forum which takes place from 20 – 22 October 2024 in Madrid.
