Today, the European Commission has released its strategy for financing the transition to a sustainable economy.

FERMA is looking forward to engaging with the European Commission and its members on the different elements of this strategy: risk management is key for the insurance protection gap, which is growing, and climate resilience. These are both important focus areas to the transition to a sustainable finance and FERMA has been active on them for some time: in July 2020, FERMA responded to the Commission’s consultation gathering views and opinions on behalf of the European risk management community.
