Working Group of AGERS´ Risk Managers join in the first meeting to analyze different natural disaster

AGERS - Asociación Española de Gerencia de Riesgos y SegurosThe new Risk Managers Group from AGERS, created in order to analyze the possible situations in which catastrophic claims occur, has organized its first working session last Monday, September 23, to develop the conclusions of the second Manual of this Association, “Natural Disasters”.

The findings of this new working group (WG) will be published next May in the book “Natural Disasters” during the XXVI Spanish Congress of Risk Management and Insurance.

This first Managers meeting took place in the headquarters of Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (CCS), entity that shared its facilities to host the 17 Companies of the Working Group.

The participants of this session were Esperanza Pereira from AENA, Juan Carlos López Porcel from ARCELORMITTAL, Monica Serrano from AZKAR – DACHSER Group, Robert Bellet from BASF, Juan Gayá from EL CORTE INGLES, Teresa Lozano from ENAGAS, Sara Garcia from IBERIA, Jose Manuel Adalid from IKEA, Iñaki Reclusa from INDRA, Isabel Hernández from MERCADONA, Juan Carlos Castro from NAVANTIA, Luis Vila from NESTLE, Alfredo Zorzo from ORANGE España, Eva Pastor and Irene González from TRANSFESA, all them coordinated by the Director of the Working Group, Mario Ramírez Ortúzar from CLH.

During this first meeting, Alejandro Izuzquiza, Chief Operating Officer at CCS, welcomed attendees and provided a positive assessment of AGERS new initiative and CCS complete disposal for this action. Izuzquiza also explained in the session the procedure that CCS uses to manage accidents of Extraordinary Risks.

In addition, Alfonso Manrique and Mercedes Asensio, Deputy Head and Responsible of the Deputy Head of Valuations Department in CCS, presented an sketch about material damages and loss of benefits as its reflection in CCS loss adjustment services. Belén Soriano, Technique on Reinsurance (CCS), shared her experience and knowledge in charging systems of Extraodinary Risks.

On the other hand, Enrique Zárraga Aranceta explained to the attendants some key issues about damage and regulations. Other areas of expertise, such as Brokers, Insurers, Expert Cabinets and Law Firms, will be the topics for the following sessions of this working group.

The conclusions of those meetings will be published as part of a manual of reference for Risk Management and Insurance Sector fulfilling with AGERS social role and commitment with its members.
